I wasn't often home, before, and now I have no reason to be many other places. Not so many battles to fight when an eternal peace has fallen across the land.

If it's peaceful, that just means the two of you can more easily go on a trip or something. After all, no matter where you pick to go, it'd be safe! Maybe a change of scenery would have him less grumpy.
