[ he laughs, then, his own tension breaking, and lifts a hand to wiggle his fingers, mock ominously, then picks up his drink to sip from it now, for real. ]

Depressing, perhaps. I can ignore the serious things, if that's really what you prefer, but sometimes it's good to hear from an outside source. I'm not pushing because I dislike you.

[she glances around again to make sure there are no mortals within earshot... the server seems busy a few tables away... okay.]

...well, the short version is I'll probably end up being kicked out of the heavens once all of this is done!

[she sighs and takes a long drink of her wine.]
